Magnesium⁺ — What's inside?Updated 19 days ago

Magnesium⁺ features magnesium glycinate buffered with magnesium oxide.

Each capsule contains 750mg of this blend, delivering 150mg of elemental magnesium.

A daily dose of two capsules provides 300mg elemental magnesium.

Why not use 100% pure magnesium glycinate?

We’d love to.

Pure magnesium glycinate is one of the most absorbable and gentle forms of magnesium, but it only contains around 14% elemental magnesium.

To provide 300mg elemental magnesium using only pure glycinate, we’d need over 2,100mg of raw material - which would mean at least three large capsules daily.

That’s not practical, especially for people trying to build a consistent routine.

Using a buffered form - magnesium glycinate combined with magnesium oxide — raises the yield to 20% elemental magnesium. This lets us deliver:

  • An effective daily dose
  • The bioavailability and gentleness of glycinate
  • Just two easy-to-take capsules
  • Lower risk of digestive discomfort

This gives you the best of both worlds:

Effective dosage, excellent absorption, minimal side effects, and a convenient daily routine that fits into your life.

Is it still high quality?

Yes. This buffered form is widely used in research and high-quality supplements.

It’s a well-established way to deliver meaningful doses of magnesium with reliable absorption and tolerability.

Why don’t you say “buffered” on the label?

Labelling laws only require brands to state the elemental magnesium amount and the magnesium sources.

We do both.

The term “buffered” isn’t legally required, but we explain it here because transparency matters.

We’re always open to improving how we communicate, and we appreciate feedback that helps us do that.
